Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is my fortunate duty to announce the unveiling of our first official mission as the USS Yorktown, Episode 1.1 - "MystiQue".

The Yorktown has been ordered to Cardassia Prime where Federation negotiators have been working with the Detapa Council to organize a resolution which would provide six transports full of relief and medical supplies for ailing Romulan colonies. Three days out from Starbase 386, however, the crew of the Yorktown receive an unexpected visitor in the form of Q (affectionately known as "Junior"). It turns out being omnipotent isn't all it's cracked up to be for the Continuum's messiah. Despite his renewed nature and sense of purpose, "Junior" can't seem to get out from under his father's shadow...and that's not a good thing. The elder Q has spent millennia toying with species and many of them have developed quite a grudge against him, a prejudice easily shifted onto Junior. The crew must now decide if they are willing to put their lives on the line for this omnipotent being or if they will leave him to his fate.

I have taken the liberty of writing a post which explains a few of the details surrounding our mission orders and will be further explaining them through a personal log as well as a few joint mission posts already started with several members of the crew. The mission notes section has also been updated with a rough outline of our first few days on assignment. Please keep an eye on your control panels for joint post updates and information relating to the mission as it becomes available.

Some of you are currently working on joint posts with one another relating to our time docked at Starbase 386. I strongly encourage you to continue wrapping up these posts so that we can keep moving forward with the new mission content. The work you've all be doing so far has been extraordinary and I am looking forward to seeing how you all tackle this new assignment.

I welcome any questions, comments, or concerns you may have about our current situation or the upcoming mission. Anyone is also welcome to run any character development or subplot ideas past me if they are looking for input.

To that end...let the game begin!
