	Main Bridge		Primary operational control of the Legacy class is provided by the Main Bridge, located at the top of the primary hull. It is located on Deck 1. The Main Bridge directly supervises all primary mission operations (with the exception of the Flight Bay and assorted craft) and coordinates all departmental activities. The Main Bridge is an ejectable module, allowing for a wider variety in mission parameters.
	Observation Lounge		The observation lounge or conference lounge is a special designation referring to the briefing room on Galaxy, Sovereign, and Legacy-class starships. The room is used as a meeting place for the ship's senior staff as well as special events and gatherings. Some go to the observation lounge simply for the view. The room is elongated and spans the entire area aft of the bridge on Deck 1. There are a series of seven viewports, composed of transparent aluminum spanning from close to the floor to up along the angled ceiling, which face the rear of the ship.
	Captain's Ready Room		Doubling as an office and a second private cabin in addition to the commanding officer's private quarters, the Captain's Ready room is a place where the captain can work or rest while remaining next to the bridge in case of an emergency.
	Departmental Offices		Here, the department head can engage in work with all relevant office equipment at hand without interfering with bridge operations. In addition, this room is usually the preferred place where the department head can hold private discussions.
	Aft Viewing Lounge		The aft viewing lounge is a recreational area aboard Legacy-class starships where people often come simply for the view. It can also be used for official functions such as ceremonies and receptions.
	Transporter Room		A transporter room is part of an starship or space station which is specially outfitted to transport lifeforms and small inanimate objects.
	Brig		A brig is a type of prison on board a starship. These are heavily-guarded rooms that employ either gates or force fields to keep those incarcerated segregated from the general population of the vessel. These areas are used to contain criminals, fugitives, and others who pose a security risk and must be detained. They are also used as a means of punishment within the Starfleet ranks.
	Holodeck		A Holographic Environment Simulator, or holodeck for short, is a form of holotechnology designed and used by Starfleet. They are installed aboard starships, space stations, and at Starfleet institutions for entertainment, training, and investigative purposes.
	Cargo Bay		A cargo bay or cargo hold is a general purpose storage facility aboard shuttles, starships and starbases.
	Science Labs		A science laboratory (for short, lab or science lab) is any area set-up for work in experimental or observational science. Areas like these are commonplace aboard explorational vessels such as Federation starships.
	Midway Lounge		The Midway Lounge is a lounge and recreation facility located on deck six. It has much the same function as a mess hall and can also be used for official functions such as receptions and dinners.
	Main Shuttlebay		The primary arrival and departure point for auxiliary craft aboard the Yorktown, the Main Shuttlebay can be a busy place.
	Mess Hall		A mess hall is a place on Federation starships or starbases where one can relax and enjoy a meal or a quick snack in a social setting. It is also the place where officials, such as ambassadors of other worlds are entertained. Gatherings are also held here.
	Library		A library is a place where information, usually in book or computer form, is stored and accessible to others. Usually the books are grouped by genre (fiction, non-fiction, history, etc.) and then sorted alphabetically by the author's last name. Librarians work in libraries to assist those with information needs.
	Main Sickbay		The primary of the Legacy class's two sickbays, Main Sickbay is also the larger of the two, and located on deck seven. Housing the Chief Medical Officer's office, it is also near to the Chief Counsellor's office.
	Shuttlebay Two		The secondary arrival and departure point for auxiliary craft aboard the Yorktown, Shuttlebay Two can still be a busy place.
	Auxiliary (Battle) Bridge		The battle bridge is an auxiliary control center located on Federation starships that acted as a supplemental control center to the bridge and main engineering. If necessary, a starship could be controlled from this room alone.
	Main Engineering		The heart of the ship, Engineering is one of two most important locations onboard.
	Auxiliary Sickbay		The second of the Legacy class' two sickbays
