Simulation Update - July 23, 2013

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Summer. That time of year when schedules change and real life makes different or additional demands upon our time. If you think you've seen this message before, it's because you have. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have worked to overcome the summertime slump by actively contributing to posting efforts here aboard the Yorktown. It has been a pleasure to read about the character development taking place aboard our simulation these past several weeks.

That said, I am pleased to announce the start of our new mission, Episode 1.3 - "...Is a Friend in Deed". Some of you may already have seen the news regarding a resolution by the Cardassian Detapa Council to provide relief supplies for the Romulan Empire. Our mission picks up several days into our journey from Cardassia to Deep Space Four with a morning briefing regarding the state of the convoy. More information can be found in the mission notes (open a mission post and you'll see them at the top of the page). Keep a close eye on these as I will be making every effort to keep them updated for you. I don't want to paint anyone into a corner, but my hope is that these notes will help give all of us a general idea of where things are headed.

As I said before, any questions or concerns you send to me will undoubtedly experience some sort of delayed response on account of my limited internet access. I should be able to respond to messages at least once a week throughout the summer. If, for some reason, you need a faster response time, please contact either Lieutenant Commander Thompson (Chief Security/Tactical Officer) or Lieutenant Darvetti (Chief Science Officer) and they will be more than happy to assist you.
