Simulation Update: Episode 1.2 - "A Friend in Need..." Now Open!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

First off, I would like to begin by thanking each of you who have continued to contribute to the forward momentum of our current mission plot, even when it seemed as if things had stalled out over the holidays. It has been interesting to see the way in which each of our characters have reacted to the unique situation they find themselves in as well as the presence of Q Junior. I am pleased to announce that we have finally reached the home stretch of our current mission and it is my hope we will see a resolution to this adventure relatively soon.

To that end, I have decided to open Episode 1.2 - "A Friend in Need..." for mission posting in an effort to help move things along and to reduce the amount of transition between our current mission and Episode 1.3 - "...Is a Friend in Deed". This interim mission will consist mostly of character development opportunities such as reflection on our experiences in "MystiQue", enjoyment of the ship's recreational facilities, and getting to know our fellow shipmates. Visits to the surface of Cardassia present another opportunity for "shoreleave". Just remember we are here on a diplomatic assignment, so don't ruffle too many feathers while you're down there. Captain Naros and one or two of the senior staff may be asked to participate in joint mission posts regarding the negotiations we've come to assist with. If anyone has questions about what they could be working on or what to expect in our interaction with the Cardassians, please do not hesitate to ask.

My hope is that we will be able to wrap up Episode 1.3 - "...Is a Friend in Deed" by the end of May before I begin my annual semi-Extended Leave of Absence for summer employment. For those of you who've not been around during previous summers, the nature of my seasonal employment means that I have much more limited access to the internet. I will still be available to respond to messages and mission posts on a semi-regular basis each week, just not as frequently as normal.
