Post Count: 54Officially commissioned on 26 June 2388, the USS Yorktown stands docked at Starbase 386 where she is taking on necessary supplies and personnel in anticipation of her assignment to the Eighth "Horizon" Fleet. Crewmembers from all walks of life begin to arrive as word of Starfleet's newest Legacy-class starship continues to spread. Having outperformed all previous expectations, will the Yorktown continue to live up to her reputation as she begins her first assignment on the Federation Frontier?
Episode 1.1 - "MystiQue"
Post Count: 110The USS Yorktown is only three days out of Starbase 386 en route to the Cardassian Union when they receive an unexpected visitor. It turns out being omnipotent isn't all it's cracked up to be for the Continuum's messiah. Despite his renewed nature and sense of purpose, Q, affectionately known as "Junior", can't seem to get out from under his father's shadow...and that's not a good thing. The elder Q has spent millennia toying with species and many of them have developed quite a grudge against him, a prejudice easily shifted onto Junior. The crew must now decide if they are willing to put their lives on the line for this omnipotent being or if they will leave him to his fate.
Episode 1.2 - "A Friend in Need..."
Post Count: 13It has been over a year since the disasterous Hobus supernova sent a wave of destruction sweeping through the very heart of the Romulan Empire. Providing relief to the striken Romulan colonies and trying to prevent others from taking advantage of Romulan vulnerability has stretched Federation resources thin. Despite their ongoing struggles to rebuild from the Dominion War, the Cardassian Detapa Council has agreed to send three transports full of much needed food and medical supplies to assist in the Federation relief effort. Starfleet Command has dispatched the USS Yorktown to rendezvous with representatives of the council in hopes of addressing concerns which have been voiced regarding the council's decision.
Episode 1.3 - "...Is a Friend in Deed"
Post Count: 19The Cardassian Detapa Council has overwhelmingly approved a resolution to provide three transports in support of Federation relief efforts in the Romulan Empire and responsibility for escorting those supplies through Federation space now falls to the USS Yorktown. An unexpected ion storm forces the convoy to alter course, bringing them closer to a region of space known as the Black Cluster and a dangerous encounter with mysterious alien raiders. It is a race against the clock to recover the stolen supplies before the entire convoy falls prey to piracy...
