A Few Welcome Changes
Posted on Thu Jul 26th, 2012 @ 5:49am by Captain Tobias Naros
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to begin by apologizing for the lack of activity on my part these past several weeks. Due to my summer employment, I am typically left without reliable internet access except for one day a week when I have off and can run into town to use the internet. My seasonal employment is scheduled to conclude 12 August 2012 which means I should be able to return to full activity status around that time. I will continue to take advantage of the time I do have to help guide this simulation into what I believe will be a fall season of opportunity.
These past few months have allowed us time to catch our breath and to re-focus our efforts on building a firm foundation for the USS Yorktown simulation. Having consulted with several people including members of the Eighth Fleet admiralty as well as our own simulation, I believed now is the time for us to return to the Horizon Fleet community as it would be most beneficial for both our simulation as well as the larger community. To that end, I submitted an application to Horizon Fleet on behalf of our simulation. It is my pleasure to announce the Horizon Fleet Council has approved our request to return. The USS Yorktown is once more a proud member of Horizon Fleet and a member of Task Force 42!
I would also like to announce the arrival of Lieutenant Torin Drell, the USS Yorktown's new Chief Operations Officer. Lieutenant Drell comes to us with some interesting personal and professional experiences prior to his arrival aboard the Yorktown. I look forward to serving with him as we continue preparing for our first assignment.
Respectfully,
Captain Tobias Naros
Commanding Officer
USS Yorktown NCC-88288
