Personal History Xavier Nor'el was born in the year 2352 on the Maran home wold. Xavier's father worked as a diplomat to the Federation and Maran people while his mother served in a civilian capacity for Starfleet. Xavier had an average childhood until about the age of 5 when some latent abilities started to surface. The abilities that he started to develop were known among the Maran people but were considered to be extremely rare.

Once it was discovered that Xavier had the ability to get a sense of people just by coming into physical contact and that he seemed to have a photograpic memory he was immediately sent for testing to be placed with the Maran Intelligence Directive. At the request of the Maran Republic his parents had him join with the Maran Intelligence Directive to learn how to better use and control his abilities. Xavier remained with the Directive until he was in his mid twenties. Around that time the Maran Republic had become members of the Federation and the Maran Republic was starting an exchange program with Starfleet to gain a broader knowledge of the new allies.

Xavier was able to secure a spot on an exchange program between the Maran Republic and Starfleet. He was enrolled in Starfleet Academy in an accelerated program and graduated in just over 2 years at the rank of Ensign. For eight months after graduation he was initially assigned to Starfleet Security on Earth for additional tactical/security training as part of the exchange program. At the end of the training Xavier was given the option of either returning to the Maran Intelligence Directive or remaining with Starfleet. After several long discussions with both of his parents and his CO in the Directive he chose to remain in Starfleet with everyones blessing.

After security/tactical advanced training and choosing to stay with Starfleet, Xavier was posted to the USS Cortez as the tactical officer at the rank of Ensign. After serving honorably on the Cortez for 4 years he was granted a promotion to Lieutenant JG for his outstanding performance and given the position of Assistant Chief of Tactical/Security where he was responsible for developing several tactical maneuvers that saved his ship during the Dominion War as well as being involved in several ground engagements during the war. Xavier continued to serve on the Cortez in his new position for another six years which were fairly uneventful.

Early in the year 2386 the Cortez was attacked by a group of renegade Cardassians for unknown reasons. During this time the Cortez sustained substantial damage and she lost several crew including the chief of security/tactical. During the attack Xavier took over after the chief was killed and was instrumental in saving the ship from the attackers. After the attack the Cortez went to Star base 25 for repairs and to take on additional crew. During this time Xavier applied for a transfer to the newly constructed USS Dalton as chief of security/tactical and was subsequently granted the transfer.

In late 2386 the USS Dalton was destroyed while working to stop rogue Section 31 agents from destroying the Federation. During the encounter Xavier was critically injured. Luckily for him he survived although he did have to under-go medical treatments for his wounds and then physical therapy to regain most of his movement. While being treated Xavier was informed that he was being transferred to the frontier of the Delta Quadrant. Once he arrived he was to be assigned to the newly minted USS Aeon as part of the Epsilon Force division of Starfleet.

This mission was short lived though as the Aeon encountered several issues with being a new star ship class and eventually the ship was recalled by Starfleet Engineering to re-do the the design of the ship. At first Xavier thought he'd be able to wait out the retrofit of the Aeon but that soon turned out not to be the case as the design team was instructed to take the ship back to development.

Xavier put in a request with Starfleet Command to transfer back to Horizon Fleet division of Starfleet and his request was approved in short order. Upon arriving at Starbase 386 for layover he received orders that he was to report to the USS Congo as the new Chief Security/Tactical Officer.
Service Record 2372 - Xavier starts Starfleet Academy. His first year at the academy was relatively uneventful. He got fairly high marks in his tactical training and average marks in engineering. He also showed that he was pretty adept at command although he didn't much care for it.

2373 - Second year at the academy was pretty much the same as the first year. Xavier showed much more interest in his tactical training and also was excelling at close quarters combat (CQC) as well as hand to hand combat.

2374 - 2375 - Xavier assigned to Starfleet Security on Earth for advanced security/tactical training as part of a Maran Intelligence Directive/Starfleet exchange program. Training lasted for 8 months after which time Xavier was offered the chance to either return to the Directive or remain in Starfleet.

Late 2375 - Xavier was assigned a posting to the USS Cortez which was a Defiant class star ship as Tactical officer where he showed remarkable skill at developing and carrying out different tactical manuvers that greatly aided his ship in the Dominion War. He also was involved in several ground engagements with Dominion troops during this time. At the conclusion of the Dominion War the Cortez was recalled to Star base 72 for repairs and refits.

2379 - Xavier was granted a promotion to Lieutenant JG and given the position of Assistant Chief Security/Tactical to take the place of the then current chief that was given a promotion and transferred to the Ulysses.

2382-2386 - Between the years of 2382 and 2385 all was relatively quiet for Xavier.

2386 - Serving on the USS Dalton as Chief of Security/Tactical.

Early 2387 - Assigned to USS Aeon as part of Epsilon Force division of Starfleet to explore the Delta Quadrant.

Later 2387 - Current - Tranferred back to Horizon Fleet division of Starfleet and subsequently assigned to USS Congo as Chief Security/Tactical Officer.
